Best Suited For
Dolomite Camp suits travellers looking for a more exclusive, luxury tented experience in a quieter, less-visited part of Etosha, with limited visitor numbers to the area.
Location and Gate Access
Dolomite Camp is on the western side of Etosha National Park, in the area closest to King Nehale Gate, making it a good fit for visitors approaching the park from the north rather than the more commonly used southern or eastern gates.
Practical Considerations
As a smaller, more exclusive camp, availability is limited, so book well ahead of time. Confirm specific amenities and access arrangements directly with the camp or at the time of booking.
Nearby Alternatives
For a more basic option in the same western part of the park, consider Olifantsrus Campsite, about 50 km away, or listings around Okaukuejo further south.

Location and Region
Dolomite Camp sits in the western section of Etosha National Park, an area that remained closed to general tourism for many years and is now accessed via Galton Gate. The camp takes its name from the dolomite hills on which it is built, and its limited bed count keeps visitor numbers low compared with the busier eastern camps. Because this part of the park sees far less traffic, guests should book well in advance and confirm current road access with the camp before travelling, particularly in the wet season.
