This game and cattle ranch in northwestern Namibia borders on the Etosha National Park, Damaraland and Kaokoveld. A warm, friendly welcome awaits you where Uwe and Tammy Hoth offer personally guided activities. You will be introduced to the AFRI - LEO FOUNDATION, established in February 1997 to help ensure the survival of the Namibian Lion. We would like to show you the first phase of our project,which includes the 5 lion recently rescued from a zoo. Join us on open-vehicle game drives, guided bush walks and birding trails, or relax undisturbed in one of our numerous hides. Participate in our trail to the Ohorongo Village and experience the customs and traditions of the Himba people. Day excursions to western Etosha (minimum 3 nights at Kavita Lion Lodge) and pre-arranged overnight trips to Epupa Falls on the Kunene River, are organised on request (minimum 4 nights at Kavita Lion Lodge). Your comfort is our primary concern with 8 spacious en-suite bedrooms, a pool and farm-style meals served outdoors, with the sounds and sights of Africa close by.

Kavita Lion Lodge is closed from 1 June until 1 July and from 1 December until 1 February.

From Windhoek, Follow tar road “B8” North to Outjo, follow tar road to Kamanjab. Follow gravel road “C35” towards Opuwo for about 35 km until sign post to “Kavita Lion Lodge” on the right hand side of the road indicates the entrance to the lodge.
