The Etosha Conservancy is situated in the north western part of Namibia, and shares it’s northern border with the world famous Etosha National Park. The Etosha Conservancy has a size of over 438 000ha (1,082,300 acres) and consists of 52 conservation conscious members.

The vegetation in this area consists of mainly Mopane Savannah, but huge ancient Ana and Camelthorn trees will also be found along the Ugab River.

The landscape is mainly flat savannah with hilly sections, remnants of the Ugab Terraces which evolved through erosion over millions of years.

For the traveller the weather in this part of Namibia is ideal, as there is sunshine throughout the year with hot days and mild nights during summer and warm days and cooler nights during winter. It seldom goes below zero degrees Celsius during winter nights.

The Etosha Conservancy caters for a wide variety of travellers, offering accommodation establishments with a large variety of activities. Hunting farms offering ethical hunting of a large variety of game species that are available in the area. During your visit you may also experience the typical lifestyle and routine of the stock farmers of the region.

The tranquillity together with its wildlife and clear skies definitely make it worthwhile to stay several days in this wilderness-like area.
